Multicultural Student Services Coordinator


Oregon Tech is seeking applicants for the Multicultural Student Services Coordinator position in Campus Life within Student Affairs. This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Klamath Falls, Oregon campus. Primary Responsibilities:

The Multicultural Student Services Coordinator manages the day-to-day operation of Campus Life’s multicultural clubs, programs and Diversity Center. The Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and administration of campus programs and initiatives which promote an inclusive multicultural student community, and personal and social awareness to better navigate a complex world. The Coordinator advises and provides support to underrepresented groups to ensure student success, acts as a liaison between Oregon Tech’s multicultural programming and community organizations who provide resources and support to underrepresented student groups, and is involved in the recruitment and retention efforts of underrepresented student populations. 

The Multicultural Student Services Coordinator is responsible for managing the Diversity Center which includes the selection of the student leadership team, advising the team on communication, goal setting and group dynamics, mediating conflicts, overseeing the Center’s annual program budget, processing any purchases or travel related to program activities, and monitoring expenditures to ensure costs are contained within available resources and funds are being used appropriately. The Coordinator also assists with all events and student programs that are coordinated by other areas in the Campus Life Office, and provide general guidance to campus regarding Oregon Tech policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of experience in student activities, diversity awareness, and/or cultural activities program coordination

Preferred Qualifications


  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in student services area in student activities, diversity awareness, and/or cultural activities program coordination
  • Two (2) years of experience performing supervisory tasks and duties
