Helpf for Program Assessment Coordinators


Accessing Your Program Assessment Coordinator Account

  • Login to MyOIT
  • Click on the Faculty/Staff tab
  • Click on LiveText Assessment Tool
  • Enter your Program Assessment Coordinator Username and Password
  • ***Great news:  LiveText Login - Now you only need to use your Faculty Account!
    • You no longer need to switch back and forth between the Program Account and Faculty Account.  
    • You now have access to every tool in one login: Faculty Account.

Tab 1 – Mission, Objectives, & Learning Outcomes

  • Login to Program Assessment Coordinator Account
  • Click on AIS
  • Open 2016-17 Program Assessment Report
  • Click on Tab 1: Mission, Objective, and Learning Outcomes
  • Type into text boxes the requested information
  • When finished, click green submit button

Tab 2 – Assessment Map

  • Login to Program Assessment Coordinator Account
  • Click on AIS
  • Open 2016-17 Program Assessment Report
  • Click on Tab 2: Assessment Map
  • There is an example map you can edit or you can delete
  • Click Create Curriculum Map button
  • Title the map the outcome name: (e.g. OIT-BITS 2016-17.1)
  • Select one outcome and the courses that will be assessed
  • Create one Assessment Map per outcome to be assessed in 2016-17
  • Click Save button
  • Identify if course is Foundation, Practice or Capstone by selecting F, P or C button
  • When finished, click green submit button.

Tab 3 – Assessment Measures

  • Login to Program Assessment Coordinator Account
  • Click on AIS
  • Open 2016-17 Program Assessment Report
  • Click on Tab 3: Assessment Measure
  • Hover over course box to click and open window to select Assessment Measure(s)
  • Choose from drop down list
  • Enter Criterion of measurement: (e.g. 80% of students will score 80% or higher)
  • If applicable, attach assignment document by clicking Select File
  • If there are more than one assessment measure, click Add new assessment measure
  • Click Save button
  • When finished, click green submit button,

Tab 4 – Program History & Vision

Tab 5 - Closing the Loop

  • Login to Program Assessment Coordinator Account
  • Click on AIS
  • Open 2016-17 Program Assessment Report
  • Click on Tab 5: Program Improvements
  • Type into text boxes the requested information
  • When finished, click green submit button 

Tab 6 - Analysis of Results

  • Login to Program Assessment Coordinator Account
  • Click on AIS
  • Open 2016-17 Program Assessment Report
  • Click on Tab 6: Analysis of Results
  • Hover over outcome box to click and open window to select Met or Not Met for that outcome.
  • Enter brief summary of your reflection on the assessment results.
  • Attach assessment data documents for each assessment activity.
    • If assessment data has been compiled in LiveText, see “Run Assessment Data Report” below for directions on how to produce this report.
    • If assessment data is from the Student Exit Survey, see
  • If program faculty have identified actions to be taken in response to these results, select “Add new improvement narrative”
  • Select Improvement Type (e.g. Curriculum Changes, Professional Development, Assessment Method Changes, etc.)
  • Enter brief description of the improvements to be implemented.
  • Click Save button
  • When finished, click green submit button.

Run Assessment Data Report

  • Login to Program Assessment Coordinator Account
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on New
  • Select Assessment Report under --C1 Only—
  • Title the Assessment Report: 2016-17 Program Name

 You’ll most likely want to run separate reports for each assessment event (that is, one for each class where an assignment that was assessed), unless you want to combine data for multiple assignments (e.g. multiple sections of the same class that were assessed).

  • Select the Term(s) you assigned courses for assessment (to select more than one use control key)
  • Select College(s)
  • Select Department(s)
  • Select Location(s)
  • Select Course Section(s)
  • Select Assessment Rubric(s)
  • Select Assessor(s)
  • No other fields are required
  • Click View Report
  • You have options to Export to PDF, Export to CSV.

Among the output from this report is a table and graph summarizing student performance. This graphical summary is ideal to screenshot or copy to share with program faculty.

Export AIS Program Assessment Report

  • Login to Program Assessment Coordinator Account
  • Click on AIS
  • Click on Reports
  • Click on +New
  • Select Type: Plan Content Report
  • Select Format: Word
  • Select your Program
  • Click Select All for Sections
  • Title this document
  • Click Save & Export
  • Open Word Document
  • This Program Assessment Report will be posted to the website by the end of November, here:

Help for Faculty with Course Assessment

Accessing Your Faculty LiveText Account

To create your faculty LiveText account:
  • Send an email to nellie.stewart@oit.edu
If you have already created your faculty LiveText account:
  • Login to MyOIT
  • Click on the Faculty/Staff tab
  • Click on LiveText Assessment Tool
  • Enter your Username and Password

Enter Scores for Course Assessment

  • Once logged in, you will your Dashboard screen.
  • On your Dashboard screen will be a list of your Assessment Assignment(s).
  • This means that your Program Assessment Coordinator has selected your course for assessment to be completed.
  • The default will show you all Terms and all Assessment Assignments.
  • You can change this by clicking on the Term drop down menu to change, if you would like.
  • Click on the Assess link to open the Assessment Assignment.
  • On this screen you can view the Assignment details.  This is all of the information that has been input by your Program Assessment Coordinator.
  • You can open/view the Rubric, as well.
  • Click over to the Submissions and Grades tab to view your student roster
  • In Red are Students that have not been assessed (awaiting submission).
  • In Yellow are Students that have some assessment work saved (but not submitted).
  • In Green are Students that assessment has been complete (submitted).
  • Click on a Student enter an Assessment.
  • Enter the Assessment score and upload the student work for this individual student.
  • Enter the score on the Rubric with check marks by selecting in the bottom box, or Expand the Rubric to pop open a bigger window to score and save your work.
  • You can ignore the Grade and Comment portion of this page.
  • Under Attachments, click Attach and then Upload, Choose File and locate the PDF of student work, click Attach, wait for it to upload, then click Attach.
  • If you click Save, the Student Assessment will go into the Yellow category of saved work, but still awaiting submission.  
  • If you click Submit Assessment, the Student Assessment will go into the Green category of completed assessment.
  • Please Note: you can still make changes after a Student Assessment has been submitted.  Simply click on the Student, click Undo Assessment and the Student will be moved back to the Yellow category to allow you to make changes and then Save or Submit again.

Run Assessment Report

  • To view the live results of your Assessment Assignment, click on Dashboard, click on Report link.
  • This report shows you only students that have been Assessment work that has been clicked as Submit.
  • You can save this Report as PDF, if you would like.
