Course Description:   
Analysis, design, and detailing of reinforced concrete beams, T-beams, short columns, and footings.

Course Objectives:  
At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Analyze reinforced concrete members
  • Design and detail various types of reinforced concrete members such as
    • Flexure members
    • Columns
    • Footings
  • Be familiar with the building code, ACI 318, and be apply to apply the guidelines therein to design and detailing mentioned above

Grading:                    
Homework = 25% 
Code Quizzes = 10% 

Midterm Exam = 30%
Final Exam = 35%

 

90 – 100% = A
80 – 90% = B  
70 – 80% = C
60 – 70% = D
0 – 60% = F
