An authorization code is required for all billable long distance calling from Oregon Tech campus extensions. Authorization Codes are seven digits in length. Each authorization code is assigned a Facilities Restriction Level (FRL). The FRL will designate where long distance calls can be made and the routing priority. The FRL's allow calls to be placed, as follows:
3 - Oregon
4 - United States, Canada, and misc. locations reached by dialing an area code
5 - All locations including international calls.
Authorization Codes must be kept private and confidential. If you lose your authorization code, please contact ITS Telecommunications staff as soon as possible so the lost authorization code can be deleted.
Students interested in receiving an Authorization Code can print and fill out the form located here and bring it to Boivin Hall 182. Make sure to have a valid student ID card with you. Rates Domestic:
Long-distance calls placed day or night are $0.10 per minute. There is no monthly fee and no minimum use penalty. You will be billed for long-distance usage only.

AT&T Corporate Calling Cards are used when it is necessary to make business calls from off-campus locations.
These cards are issued through Telecommunication Services. AT&T gives Oregon Tech a 6% discount off the normal calling card rate when calls are made using the AT&T Corporate Calling Card.
Instructions for use are on the reverse side of the calling card. A separate dialing instruction card is also available which covers placing calls from public pay phones, AT&T Card Caller phones, and hotel or hospital room phones. It also covers placing multiple calls and international calls.
When placing calling card calls, if you do not hear a tone and "AT&T", hang up and follow the instructions on the back of the card to reach AT&T.
If a calling card is lost or stolen, it must be reported immediately to Telecommunication Services.
All personal long distance calls placed from any Oregon Tech extension must be placed using a personal long distance calling card.
