General Properties

Important General information about the page is entered in this area.

• Page name — This is what will be used as the URL for the page. Example: If you create a page with the name “dinners” under “Current Students”, the URL would automatically be generated as:
  ~/current-students/dinners
• Menu label — This is what will display as the title for the page, including on the 'Inside' navigation.
• Show in navigation — Whether the page will appear in the ‘Inside’ navigation.
• Page type — Normal Page will be the most commonly used.

Head Content

Head Content includes: Title, Description, and Keywords that descirbe page is entered in this area.

• Title — This is the title that will show in the top bar of the browser. The title will automatically be appended with " | Oregon Tech".  In the below example, the Title is "Getting Started"
• Description — A brief (500 characters or less) description of the page contents. This will not appear anywhere visible on the page, but is used by search engines to help rank pages. 
• Keywords — A list of words/phrases that are used in the page that describe what the page is about. These are used by search engines to help rank pages and make them easier to find for users.
