Homework Solution Format
All problem solutions done for my courses, unless otherwise specified, will follow the format set forth here. (The most notable exception being Lab Reports covered elsewhere.) Solutions not following this format in a neat and orderly fashion may receive no credit and be returned un-graded.
- All work shall be on 8-1/2" x 11" cut paper. Paper torn from spiral binders is not acceptable. (Murray type computation paper is recommended but not required).
- All solutions will be neatly lettered in pencil.
- All problem solutions shall be presented in the "GIVEN, FIND, SOLUTION" format illustrated below. If two or more problems can be placed on one sheet, draw a double line between them.
- Problems requiring more than one page will have the page number and the number of pages used for that solution. See the attached example.
- The assignment, course title, and your name will appear as shown below on each page.
- Pages will be stapled in the upper left hand corner.
- Homework will be turned in flat, unfolded. It will have a cover page containing the course name and number, term, and your name.
- Exams and quizzes will be stapled as above and turned in flat. The exam or quiz will serve as the cover page with your name printed in the upper right hand corner.
