Government Information
The Federal and State Depository Library Programs at OIT The Oregon Institute of Technology Library participates in the Federal Depository Library Program by receiving selected federal government documents from the U.S. Government Printing Office and adding them to the library collection for use by local citizens. The library also receives some State of Oregon documents via the Oregon State Library's depository program. The library does not receive all federal or state documents documents.
Most of the federal and state government publications in the OIT Library collection are shelved behind the Reference area and are arranged under the Superintendent of Documents (federal) or Oregon Documents(state) classification systems.
We are currently making a major effort to enter records for all of our government publications into the library catalog. Items that have been cataloged can be found in Hedgehog, the library's Web-based catalog. A reference librarian can assist you in determining if the library has other, uncataloged government publications.
