Finding Materials

The library has many items available online for your research ease. There are also options for accessing print resources. If you have questions about these or anything else you see on the libraries site please contact the distance education librarian.

Library Databases - Use databases to find journals and articles in a variety of subjects. Many databases will allow you to narrow your search to "full text" articles which will ensure immediate access. You will need your Oregon Tech logon to access these resources. For articles we do not own or only own in paper you may order them. See below for details.

Electronic Books - We offer a few collections of electronic books that you may access from anywhere. You will need your Oregon Tech logon information to access these materials.

Library Catalog - The Oregon Tech library catalog will show you book and journal titles that are available on site at the Main campus in Klamath Falls, or at the Portland Campuses. If you are nearby either of these locations you are welcome to use these libraries.

Requesting items from NW libraries - Oregon Tech is part of the Summit Alliance which will allow you access to print books at over 30 libraries in the Pacific Northwest. If you live near one of the libraries in this partnership you may set up a "visiting patron" status, and order books from any of the libraries in the group. We suggest you first contact the Access Services Manager to verify your data in our system.

Requesting items from other libraries - You may order articles and other non-returnable items from the Oregon Tech library and others through Interlibrary loan. You must use your Oregon Tech email when requesting these materials.
