Sage Journals Online – full text research database of the most popular peer-reviewed journals in many disciplines, including sociology. Search for articles, book reviews, and editorials in medical sociology.
Wiley Online Library - collection of online resources in many disciplines, including social and behavioral sciences; covers both books and journals; browse by subject or search by keywords.
Google Scholar - includes peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts, articles, etc. Limited full text. Many full text links point to publisher's sites which sell access. Social Sciences Abstracts - covers a wide range of interdisciplinary fields from social sciences journals. Relevant subjects include community health and medical care, ethics, family studies, gender studies, psychology, public welfare, social work, and sociology.
PsycINFO - main source of scholarly articles and empirical research in psychology and related disciplines. Includes articles from medical sociology-related journals.
MEDLINE - covers journals in all areas of biomedical sciences, including medical sociology.
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition - contains scholarly articles in many medical disciplines including nursing and allied health with some sociological aspects.
PubMed - developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), this database contains articles in medical and public health journals.

Medical Sociology Online (MSo) - a free access, peer-reviewed journal of the British Sociological Association MedSoc Group, and a portal for news and information relating to medical sociology. Promotes the work of all sections of the medical sociology academic community, including postgraduate students and first time authors, as well as those established in the field. It publishes quality, peer-reviewed research articles, commentaries and book reviews in the field of medical sociology along with papers from the annual MedSoc Group Conference.
