Copying, Printing and Scanning

Photocopiers

Location
Oregon Tech Library has two black & white photocopiers to serve you. Both photocopiers are located immediately to the left of the Access Services desk as you enter the Library. The Ricoh photocopier has an angled edge, which allows for improved copying of bound material. In order to protect the life of the Library's bound material, we ask that you use the Ricoh photocopier for the copying of ALL bound material (books, bound periodicals, etc.).

Both copiers take COIN ONLY, no bills.  The cost is 10 cents per page.  Please come to the Library prepared, as staff are no longer able to make change.

Additional features
You can use both photocopiers to make double-sided copies and to reduce or enlarge your material. Library policy prevents the use of transparencies on our photocopiers. Should you have any questions or problems when making your copies, please ask for help at the Access Services Desk (check-out counter).

Other photocopying and printing options
The Document Resource Center (DRC), located near the Paper Owl Bookstore, as well as the bookstore itself, also provide photocopying and printing services for a nominal fee.  Both service centers are located in the College Union.

Microform Reader/Printer

In order to view and print material from microfilm and microfiche, the Oregon Tech Library has a single microform reader/printer located in the Library pit.  Copies cost 10 cents per printout.  Please ask for assistance at the Reference or Access Services Desk.

Computer Printouts

All computers in the library are networked to two printers located near the Reference Desk.   OIT students, faculty and staff are automatically billed to their accounts with the OIT business office for all material printed.  The charge is 7 cents per page for black and white, and 40 cents per page for color.  Community guests pay 15 cents per page for black & white, and 50 cents per page for color, at the Access Services desk.

Printing services, as well as photocopying and binding services, are also available at the DRC located in the College Union.

Scanners

Flat-bed scanners are available in the Library pit, and near the reference desk.  Instructions are available at the scanner stations.
