In another grueling start to the Oregon Tech softball schedule, the Owls face two Golden State Athletic Conference power teams, including No. 5 Concordia University-Irvine and Vanguard University, who received votes in the most recent NAIA Coaches’ Poll.  Tech also faces Cal Pac members William Jessup and Menlo College, along with University of British Columbia of Canada and Arizona Christian to begin the season.

Oregon Tech’s 49-game spring schedule includes 14 home contests, beginning with a conference doubleheader versus No. 26 Concordia University on Friday, March 15th.

Last season the Owls finished with a 20-4 record in CCC action and 41-8 overall, claiming the CCC tournament title for the second-consecutive season. Oregon Tech then moved on to the 2012 NAIA national tournament, becoming the first Tech team to earn back-to-back national tournament berths.  The Owls won their first two contests, before bowing out to Shorter University, Geo. in the final game of pool play action.  Shorter U. would move on to win the 2012 NAIA Title.
