Tech Volleyball Signs Three Rivers League Standout

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head volleyball coach, Jason Corwin, announced recently the signing of Mykala Rubey of Oregon City, Ore. to a letter of intent.

Rubey, a 6-1 outside hitter, competed at Oregon City High School where she was a first-team All Three Rivers League selection in 2012. Additionally Rubey helped her team to an 8th place finish at the OSAA championships in 2010.

“Mykala has a wide range of abilities,” mentioned Corwin. “She can hit multiple tempos from the middle pins, play six rotations, and fits the academic profile we need to be successful. I really like the way Mykala competes and is a welcome addition to the team for the next four years.”

Mykala is the daughter of Mark and Sue Rubey and plans on majoring in medical imaging at Oregon Tech this fall.
