KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech volleyball coach, Jason Corwin, announced recently the signing of standout recruit, Kelsey Sampson, of Folsom, Calif. to a national letter of intent.

Sampson, a 5-9 outside hitter at Vista del Lago High School was voted 2012 team MVP for the Eagles.  After recording 468 kills, along with 323 digs and 69 aces, Sampson earned her third Sierra Valley all-league award as well as the 2012 SVL MVP to go along with 2012 All-Metro and 2012 Second-Team All-State accolades.

“Kelsey is a five-tool 6 rotation outside hitter that can put a swing on any ball from anywhere on the floor, “said Corwin.  “She is a smart hitter with range and power, a savvy defender and consistent passer. Kelsey is a fierce competitor with a winning attitude that brings a lot of energy to the court.”

Kelsey is the daughter of Dana and Jeanne Sampson and plans to major in engineering at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
