Summer Music Series Returns to Oregon Tech
June 12, 2013, KLAMATH FALLS, ORE. – Those long, summer days have returned to the Klamath Basin. Spend a few of those leisurely evenings at Oregon Tech’s Summer Music Series. Enjoy live music performed by bands and musical performers from a wide variety of genres, barbeques, and outdoor movies. Activities take place each Wednesday outside the College Union, near the fountain. The music series runs from June 26 – August 7, 2013. The events are free and open to everyone. Barbeques are subject to a $5 charge for public guests.
Musical acts this season include The Doyle Brothers, David Kirton, and Nelly’s Echo, as well as the Klamath Idol Contest. This year, Klamath Idol will be separated into two contests: a kids contest for children 15 years and younger and a second contest for ages 16 and older. Participants in the Klamath Idol contests should register to participate at www.oit.edu/summer-music. Outdoor movie nights are family friendly and include free popcorn.
