Oregon Tech Ranks #7 for Best Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Degree
October 15, 2013, KLAMATH FALLS, ORE. – Oregon Institute of Technology's online Information Technology degree has been independently reviewed and ranked by GetEducated.com as a top "Best Buy" for students seeking a high-quality, low-cost online degree in Information Technology.
This ranking of affordable online degrees was calculated by reviewing and analyzing tuition and distance learning fees at 50 regionally accredited colleges in the U.S. that offer 94 online options in computer science and information technology bachelor degree programs.
The survey includes a wide range of online degree specialties like networking, medical informatics and information systems.
Being ranked as a “best buy” indicates the degree program has been independently reviewed and found to offer a high quality online degree at a cost well below the national average. With the most expensive program costing over $91,000, Oregon Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology comes in at $28,080, which is a little more than half the average cost of an online bachelor’s degree.
“We’re very proud of our online degree programs. Students getting an online degree take the same courses taught by the same professors as students in the classroom,” states Professor Marla Miller, Management Department Chair.
Oregon Tech has received special accreditation for the Information Technology degree through the International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
