The long days of summer are upon us. The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the sweet sounds of music are filling the air. Join us at Oregon Tech for the second annual Summer Music Series. Enjoy live music performed by local bands on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Oregon Tech Campus near the fountain. The concerts are free and open to everyone.

“We try to design a schedule with a variety of musical genres to satisfy all sorts of personal tastes,” said Chris Frazier, Oregon Tech Student Programs Coordinator and Summer Music Series Coordinator. “This is our second year offering the music series. Last year was pretty successful for our first attempt at bringing live music to campus in the summer. We hope to build upon last year’s experience and make it an even better show for everyone.”

This year’s musical acts include The Henhouse Prowlers, Girls, Guns, and Glory, I-chele & The Circle of Light, Julie and the Band, half acre day, Smithfield Bargain, and the second annual Klamath Idol Contest.  To see the full summer line-up, learn more about the bands, and even sample their music, visit http://www.oit.edu/prospective-students/campus-life/summer-music.

The series kicks off Thursday, June 23, at 7:00 p.m. with The Henhouse Prowlers at the fountain on the Klamath Falls Oregon Tech Campus.
