KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech is making news in the realm of best return on investment (ROI) for a college degree. After ranking 85th overall out of 1,511 public and private schools across the nation for providing graduates the best return on the dollar for their education in PayScale.com’s list in May of this year, AdvisorOne.com has taken those ratings even further by analyzing additional data and narrowing the list down to the Top 25 Colleges for Best Return on Investment.

While the methodology PayScale.com used to compare 1,511 schools in the U.S. includes only data on graduates who earned bachelor’s degrees, AdvisorOne.com examined rankings based on annualized ROI. AdvisorOne defines annualized ROI as, “…the earnings differential divided by the weighted cost for a 2012 graduate, annualized to represent the percent of expected ROI received each year after graduation.” In addition to being one of only three schools on the list that ranked well for in-state and out-of-state tuition in PayScale’s analysis, Oregon Tech has earned the number 20 spot in AdvisorOne’s report.

“The new analysis by AdvisorOne.com provides a different look at the PayScale.com data by accounting for more details that are important to prospective students,” said Chris Maples, Oregon Tech President. “We are very pleased to be listed in AdvisorOne as one of the top 20 colleges in the U.S. for return on investment. We hope this will encourage even more students and parents to look into the hands-on education that Oregon Tech provides.”
