Klamath Falls, ORE. – Oregon Tech values the generous donors who have created endowed scholarship funds and those who will do so in the future. David Evans and Associates offered a generous gift to help create an endowed scholarship if supporters of Oregon Tech would accept the challenge to match the gift. Nearly 60 alumni, faculty, staff, and industry partners have come forth to match the original gift and provide scholarships to deserving students.
The Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Geomatics provides students enrolled in Oregon Tech’s Geomatics program with the opportunity to receive financial support each year.
For many students at Oregon Tech, the importance of scholarships and financial aid cannot be overstated. You may be surprised to know that more than 80% of current students receive some type of financial assistance.
An endowed scholarship is a gift that creates a permanent legacy for Oregon Tech students. Endowed gifts are placed in a permanent fund and a portion of the income earned from that fund provides scholarship assistance to students, both on a need and merit basis.
In no uncertain terms, a student scholarship at Oregon Tech is the gift of a lifetime.
Students can now apply for this scholarship by visiting the Scholarship page. Make a gift now to an already established endowed scholarship, or for more information on establishing an endowed scholarship at Oregon Tech, contact Tracy Ricketts, Director of Development, at 541-885-1118.

About Oregon Tech Geomatics
At Oregon Tech, the study of geomatics combines theory, problem-solving and field work in a computer-intensive curriculum that prepares students for employment and licensure as Professional Land Surveyors. A shortage of trained personnel makes the employment forecast for geomatics graduates exceptional.
Oregon Tech's geomatics program is accredited by the Applied Science Accreditation Commission of ABET. Geomatics is an exciting profession that fuses land surveying, geographic information systems (GIS), and advanced computer technology. Geomatics professionals use an integrated approach to measuring, analyzing and managing spatial data, employing high-tech equipment like Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), digital photogrammetry, digital total stations, satellite and terrestrial remote sensing to create a detailed but understandable picture of the Earth's natural and man-made features. www.oit.edu/academics/degrees/geomatics
