Find the fire within you. Ignite your career opportunities with our exciting master's degree in Allied Health.

With an aging baby-boomer population and longer life-expectancy, the entire healthcare industry will see an increase in the demand for medical services (US Department of Labor, 2012). Yet, the complexity of the constantly-changing healthcare delivery landscape creates the need for a new kind of healthcare professional.

Most graduate programs focus on clinical proficiency, which is only one part of what it takes to succeed in healthcare’s future. With the MSAH program at Oregon Tech, you stand out from the crowd with the leadership, research, teaching and business skills necessary to thrive.

About Our Program

The culture of the MSAH program begins by igniting student passion for learning and developing new skills that apply immediately to their careers. Students learn first about who they are as leaders, along with developing their natural strengths so that they quickly become more effective in working with others individually or in groups. Through training in research management, community and education, students leave our program with increased confidence, self-awareness and make an even greater impact in healthcare.

What students can expect:

  • Learn how to analyze, interpret, communicate and respond to the major factors influencing health, healthcare policy and healthcare leadership.
  • Build administration/management skills including financial skills, accountability, collaboration, relationship-building, organizational development, self-confidence and leadership.
  • Learn how to become an educator and/or leader in academic, clinical, or community healthcare settings.
  • Develop a strategic mind that is critical and innovative and that synthesizes concepts, principles, research, clinical findings, technologies and outcomes into actionable plans that improve programs and your professional practice.

Attend a live web conference with the program director.

“I want the skills and understanding that it takes to be a leader in the healthcare field. There is no telling where the healthcare field will be in one year or ten years. With this degree I will have the knowledge to adapt and actually use what I have learned to lead in the healthcare field.
