Founded in 1947, Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) is one of the seven distinguished institutions belonging to the Oregon University System, and it is the only accredited, public polytechnic university in the Pacific Northwest. Through our educational programs and degrees, our graduates enjoy high success rates. In 2007, 98% of our graduates immediately found jobs within their field with an average starting salary of $48k.
It starts with our unique, hands-on approach to education which combines intense lab courses, long-term projects and scientific theory to help students gain practical skills and real world experience. In addition, our knowledgeable professors bring industry experience into the classroom, while our small, intimate classes create successful, one-on-one learning.
At Oregon Tech, we make sure our state-of-the-art programs are easily accessible to the recent graduate and working professional, by offering multiple weekend, night and distance courses. We also ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed by creating a lifelong career path in one of the world’s most progressive industries.
