He holds his doctorate in engineering, is a Distinguished Service Professor of the Oregon University System, and is the president emeritus of OIT. He is a registered professional engineer and an active member of the ASME, the SME, and a fellow of ASEE and ABET. Peter is a licensed Professional Engineer in Oregon and Washington State in the areas of Mechanical and Nuclear engineering and has over 20 years industrial experience. He is a Consultant Engineer and specializes in computational fluid dynamics, thermal and structural analysis, nuclear shielding, thermal hydraulics, and nuclear criticality analysis. His recent industrial experience includes as Nuclear/Mechanical Engineer at the Hanford, Washington, DOE Site and as Lead Thermal/Fluid Analyst at ASML Lithography Inc., Wilton, Connecticut. Dr. Peter has a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering, M.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering, M.Sc. degree in Nuclear Reactor Science and a B.S. (Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Project Prize for 1979 in the United Kingdom. Dr. Peter has a US and International Patent in the semiconductor area. Dr. Peter teaches courses in thermal fluid science and mathematics at George Fox University and at OIT. Charles Ohonkwo E-mail: Web: Biography: Hamid Rad, Associate Professor Portland Community College E-mail: hamid.moosavi-rad@oit.edu Web: Biography: SVETLA STOILOVA E-mail: svetla.stoilova@oit.edu Web: Biography: Dr. Svetla Stoilova received a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Ph.D in Internal Combustion Engines from Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Varna (Bulgaria). Her doctoral research work was on thermal evaluation of aluminum Diesel engine. She was an associate professor at the Technical University of Varna, which is the 2nd largest engineering university in the country. Dr. Stoilova has a variety of experience in engineering education. She developed curriculum materials for Automotive Engineering Program, taught many technology-centered courses and conducted much applied experimental research in liquid cooled Diesel Engines. Student-centered teaching philosophy and professional interests focus on expanding educational opportunities in mechanical engineering for women. |
