This Spring, Dr. Mann Jawad, former VP of Engineering of Nooter Corporation, noted author, and member of the ASME Code Committee will be teaching a course in Pressure Vessel Manufacturing and Design at the Portland Campus of Oregon Institute of Technology.

Meets five weekend days from 8 to 2:50 during the Spring Term (Apr 8 & 9, May 6 & 7th and June 3.)

ASTM and ASME specifications, inspection, fabrication, manufacturing, allowable stress criteria, brittle fracture, fatigue, hydro test, cylindrical shells-thin and thick, materials, external pressure, stiffening rings, spherical shells, welding processes, elliptical heads, conical shells, covers, bolted flanges, x-ray ultrasonic - dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspection, nozzle reinforcement rectangular vessels, clad and jacketed construction, and heat exchangers - types and construction.
