OIT Portland Textbook Purchases


Important Notice: Beginning Summer Term 2007: All OIT Portland text books will be sold through the Paper Owl Bookstore.  Text books will NO LONGER be sold at either east or west side campus locations.  A bonus of buying your text book from the OIT Paper Owl Bookstore is that you may charge your texts to your student account if you are receiving financial aid and/or any third party payments.

OIT Portland Textbook Buyback Procedure

  • First, email a list of the books you want to sell back, including author, title and ISBN (near the barcode on the back of each book), to lane.hickman@oit.edu. 
  • You will receive a response indicating the current buyback value of each book and more information such as: whether the book is required for another course in a sequence, whether the value would be higher at a later buyback period, etc.  You will be notified of the date by which the Paper Owl must receive the books.
  • If you decide to ship any books, you must ship via UPS or FedEx only (not the U.S. Postal Service), including your full name and OIT Student ID number to:
