Degree offered: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

Location: OIT/Klamath Falls

About the program
Civil engineers design, build and maintain the things that enhance human civilizations like bridges, dams, highways, tunnels, irrigation systems, airports, water supplies and skyscrapers. Civil engineering -- one of the oldest and most noble of the engineering disciplines -- encompasses many specialties: structural, water resources, environmental, construction, transportation and geotechnical engineering, among others.

At Oregon Tech, students have the opportunity to explore many facets of the profession, including structural design and environmental, transportation, geotechnical and construction engineering. Whatever your individual interests, you'll learn both the theory and practical application of design and not just in your last few senior classes. Design work starts in the first year and builds in complexity throughout the program as you prepare for immediate employment and licensure as a Professional Engineer.

OIT's Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
