Oregon Tech's Dental Hygiene Clinic is the setting for clinical practice and allows students to develop competency in providing all aspects of professional dental hygiene care. Students are supervised in the clinic by registered dental hygienists and a licensed dentist to ensure appropriate care for each client. Approximately 3,000 clients are served in the clinic each year.

A. How often you come is based on your individual need. Students will be able to help you determine a schedule appropriate for you.

Q. How much will a visit cost?

A. You can expect fees to be considerably lower than in private practice. All procedures will be explained to you, including risks and benefits, and fees outlined before beginning treatment.

Q. What about insurance?

A. Most insurance carriers can be billed. If you are interested in this service, bring a billing form or your insurance card with you.

Q. Who can be served in the clinic?

A. Anyone! Clients include children, adults, and senior citizens. It is ideal for oral hygiene care of individuals with special needs because students have few time constraints.
