Biology Student Profiles
Rachel Novak
Class of 2010
What made you decide to attend OIT?
I went to high school in
Klamath Falls and our track team always practiced up at OIT. Since the
OIT coaches were always friendly and personable to me, I decided to
join the cross-country and track teams when I graduated.
What is (or was) your favorite class?
I'd
have to say that the entire organic chemistry series was my favorite.
I'm kind of a chemistry nerd, so learning about reaction pathways and
manipulating chemical reactions went right up my alley.
What career do you hope to have after you graduate from OIT?
After I graduate from OIT, I'm planning to attend OSU pharmacy school to become a retail pharmacist.
What's the best thing about OIT?
The campus is small enough that almost everyone is a familiar face. It's easy to get to know people and make friends here.
Do you have any advice for new students?
OIT
has a lot of opportunities to get involved, whether it is in student
government, our club system or our sports teams. Get involved as much
as you can and you'll make college an unforgettable experience.
Novak is the ASOIT Campus Club Senator, 2009-10.
