Lisa Busch
Class of 2010
What made you decide to attend OIT?
I was recruited for
basketball. I heard great things about the community support and small
school atmosphere. When I visited I felt very comfortable here and I
loved the thought of 300 days of sun.
What do you like most about your program?
I
appreciate how it inspires me and gets me thinking about my future
opportunities. I enjoy having freedom to choose subjects within classes
that pertain and matter to me.
What career do you hope to have after you graduate from OIT?
A
dream job would be a program coordinator within an organization that
mentors and educates youth through the game of basketball.
What's the best thing about OIT?
The
small scale of the institution that allows students to set a foundation
for a path of their choosing. There are many opportunities to get
involved and be creative. Caring faculty and staff provide a positive
supportive atmosphere across the entire campus.
Do you have any advice for new students?
OIT
provides a great opportunity to get a quality education, but you must
be proactive. It takes a little bit of courage, discipline and effort
to take full advantage of it. Work hard, relax and enjoy the ride.
