OIT Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET) degree program

Manufacturing Engineering Technology

A prominent Northwest industry executive recently gave this as the reason he hires so many Manufacturing Engineering Technology grads from Oregon Tech: "They hit the ground running." That's because our faculty has professional experience and our program is supported by key industries. These connections ensure that we can offer up-to-the-minute, state-of-the-art instruction. At Oregon Tech, manufacturing majors learn modern manufacturing processes, including how to select materials for production, work with basic and advanced hardware and technology, and become adept at using computer-based engineering design and manufacturing tools.

Degrees Offered

Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology
Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology

Locations

Klamath Falls
Wilsonville
Seattle

About the Program

Manufacturing engineers combine technology and management principles to design facilities, machinery and processes that meet business goals. They must understand the theory and applications of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD & CAM), computer simulation, robotics, electrical and fluid power, motion control, integrated control systems, machine design, facilities design, tool design and process analysis and design. Manufacturing engineers will continue to play a key role in maintaining America's competitive advantage in world markets.
