Vascular Technology Student Profiles
Stephanie Huffman
Class of 2010
What is (or was) your favorite class?
My favorite classes
are my vascular classes because everything relates to what I will be
doing every day with my career and everyone in the class wants to be
there and enjoys it.
What career do you hope to have after you graduate from OIT?
After I graduate from OIT I hope to work as a Vascular Tech and someday be involved in a vascular clinic as part of management.
If your best friend was trying to choose a college, what would you tell them about OIT?
If
my best friend was looking at colleges, I would tell them nothing but
good things about OIT. Some main aspects would be hands on learning, no
matter what major you choose. I would also highlight the fact that the
student-to-faculty ratio is really low.
What's the best thing about OIT?
One
of the best things about OIT is that it is a smaller school and
everyone has the chance to be involved in more than one way. There are
many clubs to be involved in. They can be any kind of extracurricular
activities, or a club that relates to your major. This gives anyone the
chance to meet people with similar interests.
Do you have any advice for new students?
My
advice for new students would be to branch out and try to meet people
whenever you can. Living on campus is a great way to meet people and
make many friends. Also, get involved in something that you enjoy.
Everyone needs to have some fun when not doing homework!
