OM degree Articulation Agreements

OIT has partnered with several Portland Metro area community colleges, as well as other Oregon and Washington community colleges to offer a seamless pathway for community college students to complete their baccalaureate degree in Operations Management (OM) at Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT). The OM degree is uniquely structured with 42 elective credits to encourage partnerships with community colleges (CC). In most cases, OIT is offering students the opportunity to complete up to 116 credits of the OM degree's 182 total credits at their community college. That equates to 26 credits above the traditional community college degree of 90 credits.  The final 66 OM credits must be completed at OIT Klamath Falls, OIT Portland, OIT online, or with sufficient demand, onsite at the community college. This latter option would give students the opportunity to complete their baccalaureate degree at their community college campus.

If you attended, are attending, or plan to attend one of the colleges listed below, select the appropriate college link. With in each college link, you will find the specific degrees for which OIT has a partnership. After selecting your degree, you will find all the degree-specific agreements that OIT has signed with your college. Each link will reflect the number of "useable" credits that your degree has that are applicable to the Operations Management degree. Note: OIT will accept all "college" level credits (100 or higher) from your college. However, not all may be "useable" or applicable toward the OM degree.

Each document has three sections. The first section lists the CC degree requirements for the specified degree, normally 90 credits. On the opposite side of the document, the OIT equivalent credits are listed. In the second section, OM degree requirements are listed that are "above your community college degree requirements," but can be taken at the community college or at OIT. Again the right side lists the equivalent OM degree requirements (normally 26 equivalent credits). The last section lists the final 66 OIT-only credits.

If you have any questions, please contact the Portland OM degree program director, Professor Ralph Gibbs, at (503) 725-5929. For OIT Klamath Falls opportunities, please contact the management department chair, Dr. Charlie Jones, at (541) 885-1377.
