LGBTQ Scholarship Fund 
Due Date: January 31, 2012
Scholarship Amount: Fifty different types of scholarships with awards up to $20,000
Eligibility: Students of any age or sexual orientation from Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Washington who are pursuing any post-secondary education.

Point Foundation
Due Date:  February 10, 2012
Scholarship Amount:  varies
Eligibility:  Point Foundation, the nation’s largest scholarship granting organization for LGBT students, is seeking driven scholars who will become the leaders of tomorrow.

Nursing Home Abuse Awareness and Prevention Scholarship
Due Date:  February 15, 2012
Scholarship Amount:  $5,000
Eligibility:  Exclusively for US students pursuing a degree that will help combat nursing home abuse. The scholarship will cover non-tuition related expenses such as rent, childcare, textbooks, utilities and groceries for the 2012-13 academic year.

Pacific Northwest Section
American Water Works Association Scholarship

Due Date: February 24, 2012
Scholarship Amount: Seven awards ranging from $2,500-4,000
Eligibility: Students enrolled in civil or environmental engineering, water/wastewater technology or allied fields who looking to a career in public water supply. Students enrolled in other programs, which point towards a career in the public water supply industry, are also encouraged to apply.

Buick Achievers Scholarships from the GM Foundation
Due Date:  February 29, 2012
Scholarship Amount:  $2,000 (1,000 awards); up to $25,000 (100 awards)
Eligibility:  High school seniors or graduates entering college for the first time in the fall of 2012 and planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university. Must demonstrate an interest in the automotive industry as well as be a US citizen or have permanent residence in the US. Preference will also be given to applicants who are first-generation college students, female, minority, military veteran or dependence of military personnel.

Construction Financial Management Association
Due Date: February 29, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $2,000-3,000
Eligibility: Students enrolled full-time in an accredited program and majoring in accounting or finance. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Howard Vollum American Indian Scholarship
Due Date: March 1, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Eligibility: For Native American residents of Clackamas, Multnomah or Washington counties in Oregon or Clark County in Washington, who are seeking a post-secondary degree in science, computer science, engineering or math.

Jeannette Rankin Fund
Due Date: March 1, 2012
Scholarship Amount: a minimum of 50 awards
Eligibility: Open to women who are US citizens or permanent residents and age 35 or older as of March 1, 2012. Applicants must be low-income, enrolled or accepted to a regionally or ACICS accredited school and pursuing a vocational education, an associate’s degree, or a frist bachelor’s degree.

Southern Oregon Latino Scholarship Fund
Due Date: April 13, 2012
Scholarship Amount: varies
Eligibility: For Latino/Hispanic students living in Jackson, Josephine or Klamath counties and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants must be enrolled full time in a degree-seeking program at an accredited community college, technical institute or public/private university 2012/13 year.

Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship
Due Date: April 15, 2011

Eligibility: Open to students pursuing education as a profession.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center
Due Date: April 15, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Eligibility: Must be a graduate of a Baker County High School or a current Baker County resident who has at least a college sophomore status by September of 2012 and who is enrolled in a health care field, such as RN, LPN, Radiology or Medical Laboratory Technician, Occupational, Physical or Respiratory Therapy or similar areas.

Roy Webster Memorial Scholarship
Due Date: April 30, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Graduates of Oregon and Washington high schools pursuing degrees from US colleges and universities.

The Fruit Company Gift Basket Entrepreneur Award
Due Date: April 30, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $4,000
Eligibility: The Fruit Company is always looking to support advancements in Search marketing, Social Media and Online Business. This scholarship will be awarded to an US high school graduate that demonstrates drive and vision to make their mark on the business world.

Abbott & Fenner Scholarship Program
Due Date: June 15, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Available to high school juniors and seniors as well as students currently enrolled at any accredited post secondary institution. A 500-1000 word essay is required.

BigSun Scholarship
Due Date: June 22, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: All student athletes, regardless of which sport they participate in, are eligible for this award. Must be a high school senior or attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community.

AES Engineers Scholarship
Due Date: October 5, 2012
Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: The scholarship is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational institution. Engineering as a field of study is not a requirement. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the applicant's response to the essay prompt located on the AES website.
