Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

BigSun Scholarship
Due Date: June 21, 2013
Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: All student athletes, regardless of which sport they participate in, are eligible for this award. Must be a high school senior or attending a post-secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community.

Ruth Wilson Memorial Scholarship
Due Date: June 30, 2013
Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: The scholarship is available current college students who are graduates of Etna High School or current Scott Valley residents who graduated from Etna High School in June of 2012 or earlier.

The Mary Cone Barrie Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $2,500 (2)
Eligibility: The scholarship is available non-traditional students who are enrolled in a continuing education program.

WaterFilters.NET Solution Scholarship
Due Date: July 31, 2013
Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: Open to incoming freshmen with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who will be attending an accredited college or university by Spring semester 2014. Applicants must write a 400-600 word essay on creating a solution for clean drinking water in developing countries.

AES Engineers Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: The scholarship is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational institution. Engineering as a field of study is not a requirement. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the applicant's response to the essay prompt located on the AES website.

Eligibility: Applicants should submit a 500-1000 word essay about how they or someone they knew overcame disability to do something great. Must be accepted to or currently enrolled in college and have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
