Oregon Tech Athletic Scholarships
Athletic scholarships are offered for every varsity sport at Oregon Tech. Availability of scholarship funds varies for each sport. Scholarship recipients are recommended by the coach based on the availability of funds and needs of the specific program. Oregon Tech is a highly competitive program. Please contact the specific sports coach to discuss your participation and scholarship opportunities.
Oregon Tech Foundation Athletic Scholarships
The Oregon Tech athletic department and Oregon Tech Foundation are pleased to announce three athletic scholarship opportunities for the upcoming 2012-13 academic year. Applications from high school seniors who anticipate participating on an Oregon Tech team and returning Oregon Tech athletes are eligible for award. Applicants must have a solid academic standing, participate in an athletic program at Oregon Tech and be a person of good character.
Mike Snider Memorial Scholarship
This $1,500 scholarship was established in 1986 by Bill and Gabrielle Snider. The scholarship is named for their son, Mike, who died in an industrial accident. Mike Snider pitched for the Hustlin’ Owls baseball team and was inducted into the Cascade Collegiate Conference Hall of Fame in 2001.
Howard and Ginger Morris Scholarship
This annual $1,500 scholarship is named in honor of long time OIT booster and previous Oregon Tech Athletic Director/head coach and his wife.
David L. Terhune Memorial Scholarship
This annual $1,500 scholarship is named in the memory of a local building contractor who was active in the OIT Booster Club and district meritorious service award in 1988. Terhune passed away in 1996.
