Discretionary Judgment:
On occasion, there may be a need for CFLAT to make a judgment call regarding interpretation of your instructions. For example, the student insists that you would allow them the use of a protractor, but you did not indicate this on the information form. If you wish to allow CFLAT office staff to make decisions regarding discrepancies, please let us know by signing below. CFLAT will try to reach you prior to making a decision. If you are unavailable, CFLAT will inform you of the discrepancy and ultimate decision by phone/email or on the information included with the testing materials. CFLAT will inform the student of the assumptions and warn them that the professor reserves the right to invalidate the test/exam for violation of intended instructions. Students who disagree with the decision or are unwilling to comply with CFLAT instructions will be advised to not begin testing until they can reach you for clarification.
