SME CMfgE Review Class

The Oregon Tech Seattle Program also offers a 4-credit, upper division review class for employees electing to take SMEs Certified Manufacturing Engineer Exam. The review topics include:

  • Manufacturing Processes & Practices
  • Product & Tool Design
  • Facility Operations
  • Floor Operations
  • Material Handling

Focus Area: Manufacturing Processes: Electronics Manufacturing, Material Removal, Material Forming, Fabrication, Assembly, Finishing, Molding, Casting.

Prerequisite Skills and Knowledge: Industrial Experience and/or Manufacturing Enterprises/Engineering Technology coursework is required for this course.

Certified Manufacturing Engineer Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years manufacturing related work experience and/or education

     AND

  • Successful completion of the Manufacturing Engineer Processes Certification Exam.

Note: A CMfgT may pursue CMfgE certification after seven years of work experience and/or education.
