The Oregon Tech Seattle Program also offers a 4-credit, upper division review class for employees electing to take SMEs Certified Manufacturing Engineer Exam. The review topics include:
- Manufacturing Processes & Practices
- Product & Tool Design
- Facility Operations
- Floor Operations
- Material Handling
Focus Area: Manufacturing Processes: Electronics Manufacturing, Material Removal, Material Forming, Fabrication, Assembly, Finishing, Molding, Casting.
Prerequisite Skills and Knowledge: Industrial Experience and/or Manufacturing Enterprises/Engineering Technology coursework is required for this course.
Certified Manufacturing Engineer Requirements
- Minimum of ten years manufacturing related work experience and/or education
AND
- Successful completion of the Manufacturing Engineer Processes Certification Exam.
Note: A CMfgT may pursue CMfgE certification after seven years of work experience and/or education.
