Certified Manufacturing Technologist
SME CMfgT Review Class
The Oregon Tech Seattle Program offers a 4-credit, upper division review class for employees electing to take SMEs Certified Manufacturing Technologist Exam. The review topics include:
- Mathematical Fundamentals
- Physics
- Engineering Sciences
- Materials
- Product Design
- Manufacturing Processes
Students who wish may take the SME CMfgT Exam on the last day of class; however students are not required to take the SME exam in order to pass the class.
Prerequisites and Co-Requisites: Industrial Experience and/or Manufacturing Engineering Technology coursework is required for this course.
Certified Manufacturing Technologist Exam Requirement
- Minimum of four years manufacturing related work experience or two years completed toward a college degree.
OR
- Substitution of two years completed toward a college degree in a manufacturing related field and two years manufacturing work related experience.
AND
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Manufacturing Certification Exam.
