Oregon Institute of Technology is marking its 60th anniversary in the 2007-08 academic year. A variety of activities are planned, including informative talks called Technology Tuesdays. Nov. 6, 2007: OIT Career Fair
Due to the Career Fair scheduled on this day, which features numerous employers looking to recruit OIT graduates, there will be no Technology Tuesday this day. |
Nov. 13, 2007: Cross Discipline Projects at OIT
Associate Professor Jim Long states that CSET Software Engineering Technology has been involved in several cross-discipline projects. This talk will highlight the history of cross discipline as taught by Long in the Junior Project Sequence: CST 316, 326, 336. Current projects will be discussed and the status for future projects will be looked at. Current projects include Hybrid Car project working with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Biodiesel Project working with Mechanical Engineering, and the Virtual Robotics Lab project working with Manufacturing Engineering. Industry trends will be summarized and student learning outcomes will be analyzed. |
