Welcome to New Student Orientation
We appreciate our students’ busy schedules and multiple priorities. To that end, we have developed these resources to quickly help you access the information you need. By following the links below you will find the information you will need to register for classes, plan your academic year, etc.
Academic Calendar
Find out when you can add or drop a course, holidays and final exams week, etc for the academic year.
Class Schedule
Find the courses you need to register for this term. On the right hand side of the class schedule page you will find a pdf registration guide, read through this guide; for how to read the class schedule, register on Web for Students.
Transfer Credit Information
Find the transfer credit equivalency table to help you find out which courses transfer in from your previous college(s) for equivalent Oregon Tech courses. This will help you make sure you have the correct prerequisites.
If you find one of your courses didn’t transfer in as a prerequisite and you believe it is equivalent please contact your advisor to get a Course Substitution form completed. You must have a course description from your previous college.
After You are Registered for Classes
Login to MyOIT using your ID firstname.lastname and for the pin your first and last name initials and the last four of your student ID, for example ID: john.doe Pin: jd1234. You will find your Oregon Tech email, Blackboard, CashNET to pay your Oregon Tech account and a link to login to your Web for Students at MyOIT. If you have questions about your bill please contact the Cashiers Office.
The Oregon Tech tuition calculator is a convenient way to help you figure out what your tuition costs will be. Please read the information on the Easy Refund page to help you understand the process for Oregon Tech financial aid and refunds.
Oregon Tech Student ID Cards: May be obtained at Oregon Tech East Campus Library on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3-5PM during the term.
Financial Aid
Find answers to your many financial aid questions along with contact information for Oregon Tech’s Financial Aid Office. If you are a dual enrollment student you may have questions about what you will need to do regarding your financial aid. The consortium agreement may be needed, talk with your financial aid counselor.
Student Health Center
The immunization form is required by Oregon Tech’s student health. You may have questions about your health insurance and what your options are. You will find them at this page

OIT-Alert
Sign-up today for the alert system that will notify you if we must close for inclement weather or any other emergency.
Career Services
Career Services supports students in achieving their career goals. Individual appointments, as well as workshops, are available to Portland students for resume writing, job interviewing and job search. Other services include career advising and assessment. Part time employment is also available on campus through College Work Study or regular employment.
Library
The Oregon Tech Wilsonville library offers immediate access to over 80 electronic resources, hundreds of e-books, plus access to resources on the main campus that you could order and receive within 2-3 days. Library hours are available online. Contact the Oregon Tech Librarian at 503-821-1258 or by chat on the Portland library website.
Student Handbook
The Oregon Tech Student Handbook provides the procedures, policies and guidelines for students at Oregon Institute of Technology. It contains useful information about how to establish clubs, acceptable conduct on campus, where to go to answer your questions and much more.
Wilsonville Campus Status
We are consolidating and plan to begin courses at the Wilsonville Campus in Fall 2012. Find out more about the town of Wilsonville at Discover Wilsonville.
