TECH Talks: Presenting the Best in Current Technology, Engineering, Creativity, and Health Innovations

Oregon Tech is proud to present the first annual TECH Talks on Saturday, July 19th, from 10:00 a.m. ā€“ 3:00 p.m. at the Oregon Tech campus in Wilsonville.

Oregon Tech is proud to present the first annual TECH Talks on Saturday, July 19th, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Oregon Tech campus in Wilsonville.

Join us for this exciting TED Talks-style symposium where you can watch local thinkers in the tech and creative industries talk about exciting current innovations and their vision of 2020 in the Pacific Northwest. TECH Talks is a completely student-produced event that brings together graduate students, professors, and industry leaders to speak about exciting areas of development in technology, engineering, creativity, and health in the Pacific Northwest. Looking ahead to 2020, this symposium aims to bridge the gap between the next generation of industry leaders and the developments and areas of focus in the Pacific Northwest.

Speakers include:

  • Director of the Innovations Department at Intel, John Sherry, speaking about the future uses of computing;
  • Energy Engineer with Energy 350, Jeff Davis, expanding energy efficiency measures in the Pacific Northwest;
  • WiTricity, the leader in wireless electricity, representative, Kaynam Hedayat, chatting about how soon everything will be wireless;
  • Portland Urban Planner, Alex Joyce, sharing about the future of public transportation and regional development in Portland;
  • Founder of Watson Creative, Matt Watson, speaking about the future of creative design;
  • Director of the South Metro-Salem STEM Hub, Melissa Dubois, talking about Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) program now and in the future;
  • And many more!
