Division of Health Sciences
The CLS program (also called Medical Technology) will prepare you for entry into the clinical laboratory science profession. Joint program between Oregon Tech and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
The EMT program offers coursework designed to educate future leaders in the field of out-of-hospital medical care. After graduation, students are eligible for state and national certification exams. This is a joint program between Oregon Tech and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
Division of Engineering and Management
The EE program prepares graduates to assume a broad range of positions within the electrical engineering industry, such as design, characterization, test, and product engineering positions. Electrical engineering currently has more career positions than any other engineering field. The program can accommodate full-time students, transfer students, and working professionals, and provides a solid preparation for industry or graduate school.
The EET program is designed to prepare graduates to assume engineering and technology positions in the electronics industry. This program also provides a solid preparation for students intending to continue to graduate school to pursue masters degrees in engineering, engineering management, MBAs, and JDs. Accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.
The ESET program prepares students with the skills demanded by real-world industrial applications on diverse products like interactive multimedia, printers, medical equipment, avionics equipment, kitchen appliances, cell phones, and automotive engine management units.
Geomatics is an exciting profession that fuses land surveying, geographic information systems (GIS), and advanced computer technology. Geomatics professionals use an integrated approach to measuring, analyzing and managing spatial data, employing high-tech equipment like Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), digital photogrammetry, digital total stations, satellite and terrestrial remote sensing to create a detailed but understandable picture of the Earth's natural and man-made features.
The IT program, which offers options in Health Informatics, Applications Development or Business/Systems Analysis, combines industry-savvy instructors, lab-based courses and real-world, hands-on IT projects to equip graduates to design, develop and evaluate computer programs and information systems to solve business problems in Health Care and other industries.
The MET program is supported by key industries that provide advice to ensure that the program gives you a state-of-the-art education. Industrial scale computers, robots, manufacturing equipment and numerical control machines are all integrated into laboratories, bringing engineering theory alive through hands-on application. Accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.
The M.S. MET provides an advanced level of education in a student's chosen professional career within the manufacturing realm. It is designed to prepare engineers to participate more fully in the various manufacturing organizations with a mixture of industrial engineering (lean manufacturing, facilities planning, etc), business (operations management, accounting, finance, etc) and other technical courses applied to manufacturing (automation, thermal systems, etc).
The MET program teaches the theory and application of mechanical design and the process of developing a product that can improve society. Mechanical Engineering graduates obtain a working knowledge of core engineering disciplines including mechanics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermal science, and materials science. Mechanical Engineering at Oregon Institute of Technology is a hands-on applied engineering program. Accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.
The OM program provides you with the skills to be an effective manager with a core of management courses, business computer applications and focused courses in manufacturing and service operations. Individualized projects give real-world experience in solution implementation so you can step into business management roles and/or pursue a master's degree.
The REE curriculum prepares graduates for graduate study or for immediate employment as field engineers, energy auditors, renewable energy system integrators for homes and businesses, manufacturing engineers for component and subsystem manufacturers, designers for components and subsystems, local and state government renewable-energy inspectors, planners and other positions in the energy field. Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.
The M.S. REE program accommodates both full-time students and working professionals. The program is designed to prepare graduates to be energy engineering professionals who have advanced knowledge and skills that enable them to assume a broad range of technical leadership roles.
The SET program prepares students to design, develop, integrate, and implement computer software. Graduates will have a thorough understanding of the key principles and practices of applied software engineering, including possessing the ability to identify, analyze, test and solve non-trivial software engineering technical problems. Accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.
The TM program is designed specifically for students who have completed a technical Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Science degree and are seeking career advancement into management or in their technical career field.
