Alyson "Raydt" Vaz
Class of 2009
I work at Intel Corp, with the Portland Technology Development Group.
I came to OIT Portland initially because it was the most expedient path that provides a relevant education. A second question that could be asked is why did I decided to stay here? And the answer is: It surpassed my expectations, I enjoy the classes even after more than 50 hours of work and over 100 mile round trips. My intellect is being abundantly fed, and so are my hopes for a brighter and promising futures.
My education allows me so many other opportunities previously not available, that I’ll be researching to find the one that best suits my strengths and preferences. So far I can contemplate work in the semiconductor industry, medical equipment design, test engineer, power industry, and many others.
Most of the labs in EET have being and opportunity in themselves to provide extra skills that are not systematically taught, but essential to the survival of an engineer; Precise and concise lab reports, lab presentation, IEEE papers and in depth research exams.
