Student Profiles

Lura Griffiths

Class of 2010

While at OIT, I was able to participate in internships with Energy Trust of Oregon, and PECI, which eventually led to a job at graduation. The internship opportunities with OIT are exceptional.

I would tell new students, “Don’t be afraid to ask for help - especially the first year. Use tutors and study groups as much as you need to.”

My senior project focused on passive/active solar design and energy efficiency for residential home developments.

After graduation I want to design and analyze commercial building energy systems.

I like OIT for the small college atmosphere, and the accessibility of the professors to the students!
