Women's Herstory

Women's Herstory

“Herstory”: History written and dedicated to innovative and inspirational women.

March was officially declared Women’s History Month in 1987. This month is about paying tribute to the generations of women whose commitment to society was ground-breaking, inspiring, and invaluable. While Women’s History Month is motivating and exciting, women throughout history should be celebrated each and every day for their incredible strides and progress in society.

More often than not, women’s contributions to society in all fields, including math, science, politics, and art, have been minimized, ignored, or completely erased from history. Specifically, this type of erasure happens predominately to women of color. It’s important for all people to recognize the strong, progressive, and innovating contributions that women have made and continue to make or influence in all cultures.
