Research has repeatedly reported that high school students who are concurrently enrolled in college-level courses will have more success in their post-secondary experience. There are many benefits for students who participate in programs like High School Transition, Advance Credit, and Project Lead the Way. These benefits range from high success rates to lower costs for college-level courses.
The National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships has numerous studies that point to the effectiveness of such programs. We encourage all interested parties to review the research. If interested in a program, please feel free to contact Oregon Tech's Office of Educational Partnerships and Outreach to find out more information or contact your current high school to find out what programs they offer.
