Dr. Salem has taught at many universities in Egypt, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia since 2006 as TA, RA, and Assistant Professor. His research interests include power electronic converters design using modern wide-band-gap semiconductor technologies applied to electrical drives, electric vehicles, renewable energy, and smart grid applications. Dr. Salem's funded research activities include several international projects, with more than $30 million. He has more than 35 journal and conference publications and three filed/submitted patents. Dr. Salem has supervised and graduated a number of MS students. Additionally, he is a reviewer for many journals, i.e. Industrial Electronics and Power Electronics IEEE Transactions.
