Dr. Hossain earned his PhD from the college of Engineering and Applied Science at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, received his MS in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering from International Islamic University of Malaysia, and finished his BS in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh. Professor Hossain has more than 10 years of research experience in Renewable Energy/Energy Systems & Advanced Control Systems. He joined the joined the Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy (EERE) department at Oregon Tech in 2015, where he is a tenured Associate Professor. He has completed several industrial funded projects before and currently. He is currently working with Portland General Electric Company (PGE) and Oregon Renewable Energy Center (OREC) as industry collaboration with their research projects. Besides the industrial experience, he has more than 23 research papers.
