I worked as a dental hygienist in private practice for 24 years. In 2005, I started teaching full-time for Oregon Tech. I'm grateful I could combine my two professional passions - dental hygiene and teaching! In 2012, I transitioned to teaching 100% online and I work from my home office.

I'm the Program Director for our bachelor degree completion program for dental hygienists. I love and appreciate the variety of courses I teach to my students in different educational stages. Currently I teach an introductory course to freshmen, senior courses to our dental hygiene students in Klamath Falls and Salem, multiple courses to dental hygienists completing their bachelor's degree with us, and an education course in our master's in allied health program.

My husband and I live in a beautiful wooded area at the base of Mt. Emily on the outskirts of La Grande, Oregon. I love to walk, hike, and camp. I'm blessed that I can step out my back door and access miles of hiking trails! We have two grown sons that live and work in Colorado, so we also enjoy taking trips to visit them and exploring areas outside of Oregon.
