Teshome Jiru

Dr. Jiru has multi-disciplinary academic background: BS in Chemical Engineering, MS in Biosystems Engineering, and Ph.D. in Building Engineering. He joined the Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy department at Oregon Tech’s Portland-Metro campus in 2011. He teaches Energy-Efficient Building Systems, Thermo-Fluids, and Renewable Energy Engineering courses. He currently serves as the program director for the MS in Renewable Energy Engineering. His current research and professional experience focuses on modeling and benchmarking energy use, energy efficiency, and demand side management for commercial and industrial buildings. Dr. Jiru is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
