Oregon Tech Blue Zones Wellness Committee

The Blue Zones Wellness Committee is a new committee that was formed at Oregon Tech in academic year 2017-2018 to continue our worksite obligations to the Blue Zones Project initiatives as a Klamath Falls Blue Zones Worksite. Our charge for this committee is to help identify strategies that will improve the well-being and total comprehensive (fitness, physical, mental, social and spiritual) for all Oregon Tech Employees.


Blue Zones Wellness Committee Charge


Blue Zones Project is a community-wide well-being improvement initiative to help make healthy choices easier for Oregonians.

The Wellness Committee is tasked with:

  1. Identifying strategies that will improve the well-being and total comprehensive fitness (physical, mental, social, and spiritual) of all Oregon Tech employees
  2. Establishing, monitoring, and reporting wellness outcomes for the Klamath Falls campus
  3. Improving campus awareness of available Blue Zone resources and
  4. Removing barriers
