My education will be one of my greatest assets in my career and is something that without help from generous donors like yourself, would've been hard to accomplish.

Why did you choose Oregon Tech?

I chose Oregon Tech for two reasons, small class sizes and hands-on education. Coming from a small high school, I knew I needed to be in a classroom environment like Oregon Tech. Class sizes range from 10-30 students in my major. Having small classes allows you to develop relationships with your peers and have one-on-one communication with your professors.

What do you like best about your major?

Oregon Tech as a whole strives to provide their students with a “hands-on, real-world education”. This is very prominent within my degree. By providing this type of education, I have been able to apply the skills I learn in the classroom out into the real world. We are constantly working with local businesses, exercising our skills and creating relationships with business owners, which allows us to develop a competitive edge over graduates from other universities. I like that all of our professors are industry trained, it helps them deliver a customized teaching experience to students outside of textbook concepts.

What is your favorite memory from Oregon Tech?

My favorite memory would have to be winning the speech showcase. It was a lot of fun and helped me develop confidence in my public speaking skills, which is crucial to have in a degree like mine.

What career do you hope to have after you graduate from Oregon Tech?

I aspire to work with small business where I would help design and create creative websites and logos for their business.

What would you say to the donor or donors who support Oregon Tech. What does their support mean to you?

I have lived in the Klamath County all of my life and am continuously overwhelmed with the loving and supporting community that surrounds me and my peers. I am anxious to graduate and be able to work in a community that is invested in our youth's education and well-being. I sincerely thank you for helping myself and a great number of other students, pursue a college education.

My education will be one of my greatest assets in my career and is something that without help from generous donors like yourself, would've been hard to accomplish. Your investment into my education will flourish as a secondary investment into our community.
